Ans: ECCE generally refers to defined as the care and education of children from birth to eight years to provide as a support service for universalisation of primary education, to enable girls in taking care of sibling to attend school and a support service for working women belonging to proper section is known as ‘Early Childhood Care and Education’.
3. What were the suggestions forwarded by Mudaliar Commission regarding ‘Development of Vocational Efficiency’ as aim of secondary education ? 2
Ans: For improvement of vocational efficiency among students in all the secondary schools, the Mudaliar Commission suggested the following recommendation:
(i) Secondary education one should be able to earn enough for maintaining himself.
(ii) Vocational subjects should be introduced in the curriculum such as craft and productive work like – agriculture, technical commercial courses to add to the productive capacity of the country.

Ans: Non-formal Education is considered as a supportive system of education because of the following:
(i) This system of education is helpful to create a learning society to provide life-long education to all.
(ii) It reduce the cost and improve the efficiency of the formal system of education.

Ans: Non-formal education or Distance Education is considered as a flexible system of education because this system of education has flexible point of entry and exit and it is needs based and life-long system of education which provides educational opportunities to those who are late-bloomer, dropouts and to the deprived classes to enhance their qualification.

(i) Through correspondence education, individual may complete a prescribed courses of study offered by an institution without attending to its classes.

Ans: Population Education is nothing but it is a programme of creating awareness among students and the public in terms of increasing population, causes of problems and solutions and the ways of controlling population is known as Population Education.
7. What is conditioned response ? Which was the conditioned response in Pavlov’s experiment on conditioning ? 1=1=2
Ans: Conditioned response is a process in which a neutral stimulus acquires all the properties of natural stimulus when both are repeated together for several times.
The conditioned response in Pavlov’s experiment with a dog. Pavlov conditioned the natural response of salivation to the sight of food with artificial response of the ringing of a bell.
8. Describe the two parts of ‘Law of exercise’ of learning. 2
Ans: The two parts or types of ‘laws of exercise’ in learning are briefly discussed below:
(i) Law of use: It refers to the strengthening of connection with practice.
(ii) Law of disuse: It refers to the weakening of connection or forgetting when the practice is discontinued.

Ans: As we know that forgetting is an unavoidable mental phenomenon and a natural mental condition that acts as a defence mechanism for our mind because every one of us is blessed with felling and interest generally originated from them. It helps in removing unnecessary things from mind and makes space to retain new experiences. Therefore, it is called forgetting is a blessing.
